Business Analyst       APPLY

The Business Analyst will be responsible for defining business requirements and functional specifications for our customer project. The Business Analyst will work closely with our development team and our customer to collect and validate business requirements, develop functional specifications and or screen designs for development. The Business Analyst will work hand in hand with the account manager and product team to schedule, monitor and test the functionality of the application as it is created.

1. Writes and revises documents including requirements, screen designs, workflow maps and test scenarios.
2. Leads requirements gathering and discussion sessions with the customer.
3. Document the customer’s business requirements in a clear and concise way following industry standard implementation methodology
4. Follow industry standard procedures for creating, validating business requirements.
5. Actively schedule and monitor the development of the requirements / user stories for each application iteration and release.
6. Actively participate in the testing efforts of each iteration and or release
7. Support application knowledge transfer to client implementation team
8. Participate in developing and performing customized end user training courses.

1. Strong knowledge of software development life cycle
2. Experience developing functional specifications, use cases and user stories.
3. Apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate processes through careful analysis
4. Experience with core PM tools including MS Project, MS Office, MS Visio, etc
5. Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
6. Keen attention to detail
7. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
8. Bachelor’s degree in a related area and 0 - 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
9. Must be able to travel as required.

1. Experience in Agricultural software and or services is a plus
2. Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Project management experience.
3. Experience in working with an off-site development team.
4. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-oriented environment
